Cafes and restaurants around the museum serve Colombian and international food. Smaller local eateries sit on the side streets, while weekend brunch is concentrated near the main plaza.
Most buildings are newer high-rises with shared amenities and security. Prices approach El Poblado levels, although rentals are slightly lower. Apartments range from studios to three bedrooms.
Ciudad del Río has bike lanes and pedestrian-friendly streets. Poblado metro station is a short walk away. The trade-off is a newer streetscape with little historic architecture.
The choice is newer infrastructure and nearby amenities versus the architecture and established street life of older neighborhoods.
